Advanced Contemporary Wedding Designs - Short Floristry Course
Flowers can be found everywhere at a wedding - from bouquets and boutonnieres, to flower petals down the aisle at the ceremony, and even artistic floral creation for table centrepieces. Flowers are a key component of any wedding; they add extra colour, texture, and feeling to this special day. Flowers are an important part of creating the feeling or setting the mood at a wedding with their beauty, colour, elegance, and style. The use of flowers at a wedding is a form of expression and is also used as an element of design.
This stimulating one day floristry course will have a contemporary approach and will be practical, fun and hands on, offering progression in wedding floral techniques, developing skills in more advanced pieces of floral design building your skill base, speed and conceptual design ability.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This course will commence on Tuesday 15th May 2017. You will attend College for one evening from 6.00pm - 9.00pm.
The course is held at The Flower Studio at our Town Centre Campus, WA10 1PP.
What will I study?
During this one day course you will learn new techniques to create diverse wedding designs.
You will explore wedding floristry techniques and designs including:
- Creating diverse wedding designs
- Constructing a diverse wedding bouquet using glue design
- Constructing a novelty wedding design using various techniques
How is it assessed?
There is no assessment involved in this course.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
Ideally, you need to have some previous experience of floristry, either in industry or through undertaking a previous course, however, this is not essential.
What are the course fees?
The total cost of the course is £50.00 and this includes the cost of all basic materials. You are welcome to provide your own decorations to coincide with the colour theme you have chosen.
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
After completing this course you may wish to progress onto one of our full or part-time nationally recognised qualifications in floristry.
