ATA Paint Accreditation Course in Vehicle Refinishing

This course is perfect for refinishers, technicians and senior technicians whose job role involves the paint repair of vehicles typically involved in accidents or similar circumstances
We have two routes available, one to gain full accreditation and another to gain re-accreditation.
IMI Accreditation is an industry-agreed standard for current competence in the motor industry conduct.
ATA is a voluntary assessment programme for technicians working in the motor industry. It has the backing of major vehicle manufacturers.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
The course has start dates throughout the year, plus discrete dates can be arranged in conjunction with the needs of an employer.
The full accreditation course takes two days to complete and runs from 9.00am - 3.30pm
The re-accreditation course takes one day to complete and runs from 9.00am - 3.30pm
The course takes place in our Automotive Hub at the Technology Campus, WA9 1TT.
What will I study?
The modules of study will vary depending on which route you are taking.

How is it assessed?
Each unit has a short online test and a practical assessment. This will be completed over the duration of the course with full support from an experienced tutor.
Upon completion, participants will receive an industry recognised card confirming competence. This is valid for 3 years from date of receipt.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
No, you do not need to hold any previous qualifications although you need to be employed as a technician or senior technician, refinishing vehicles within the motor industry.
What are the course fees?
The course cost for full accrediation is £700 plus a £75 IMI registration fee.
The course cost for re-accreditation is £350 plus a £75 IMI registration fee.
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
This qualification will equip you with the skills and knowledge to acknowledge that you/your employees are technically competent in vehicle paint systems to undertake accident repair work.
