Short Course in Life Drawing
During this short course, you will explore different ways to interpret and depict the human figure using a range of media and techniques.
Experimenting with various techniques in line, tone and mark-making, you will work on a series of rapid sketches as well as a more extended pose. The course will help you to develop your observational skills, creative thinking and personal visual language. This course is perfect for beginners new to life drawing but will also appeal to those with some experience.

The course takes place at St Helens College, Town Centre Campus, Water Street, St Helens, WA10 1PP.
What will I study?
You will study drawing the figure using a range of materials, techniques and processes.
You will be guided through the process, from the basics of life drawing into composition, using tone and then into colour. This friendly and relaxed class will really give you the chance to perfect your drawing skills.
How is it assessed?
There is no formal assessment. You will be given feedback based on your progress with suggestions and guidance for areas for improvement.
Do I need any previous qualifications to start this course?
There are no formal entry requirements. As with all our leisure courses the main emphasis is to come along and enjoy the course. All you need is commitment and enthusiasm.
