Gearing up your Service Excellence
The Northern Logistics Academy is a logistics and transport training specialist, based in the Northwest of England, delivering sector specific training and qualifications. We are JAUPT approved for the delivery of Driver CPC periodic training courses.
If you drive a lorry, bus or coach as the main part of your job, it is a legal requirement that you must hold the full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
To gain this you must do either 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years or, 7 hours training per year in order to maintain your Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
When will I start the course and how long will it take?
This next available start date for this course is Thursday 25th May 2017. The course takes one full day to complete with 7 hours of learning.
The course is delivered to groups comprising of a minimum of 8 drivers. If required, we are able to set discrete dates for employers upon request.
This course is delivered at Northern Logistics Academy's dedicated training centre at our St Helens Campus (Langtree Street, St Helens WA9 1AR).
Alternatively, for groups of employees, we can deliver this in the workplace.
What will I study?
Introduction to Service Excellence: outlines knowledge and information that enables you to identify and understand the importance of being customer focused.
Talking to our Customers: Discover tools to hold a conversation, the importance of the conversation and what not to discuss. This section also covers the channels of communication and a reflection on how they can be improved.
The Customer Experience: delivers an insight for you to understand the customer journey, where the journey can go wrong and how the relevant impact of this.
Listening to The Customers: focusing on the significance of listening in relation to customer service. The traits of an active listener and the importance of feedback.
Improving Service Excellence and Dealing with Issues: will equip you with the ability to handle complaints and the importance of customer service standards.
The Driver as an Ambassador: enable you to understand the importance of the role of a driver and being an ambassador for your company.
How is it assessed?
There is no formal assessment, the only requirement is that you complete the full 7 hours training in a classroom based workshop. Qualification is by attendance; there are no tests or exams to take at the end of the course.
On the day of your course, you must bring at least one of the below items as identification:
- a photocard driving licence
- a valid passport
- a digital tachograph card
- a Driver CPC card
What can I go on to do once I have completed this course?
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a certificate of attendance and we will update 'your driver' CPC training records. We deliver several other Driver CPC courses including:
