Lawn and Turf Maintenance - Short Course
Enjoy your lawn, from the smallest patch of grass to the grandest of lawns, maintenance has to start somewhere. This one day short leisure course aims to introduce the concepts and practices involved in developing a quality lawn.
- Mowing types and frequency
- Seed selection and application
- Weed, Pest and Disease control
- Aeration and scarification
- Annual Maintenance and management regimes
- Soil management
The course is delivered in a very relaxed manner with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and group discussion. This course will be a mixture of both theory and practical hands on application.
The course is held at our Horticulture Base at Sherdley Park Campus. The course is aimed to increase your own knowledge of the subject matter so there will be no formal assessment. A college participation certificate will be issued for those that attend. No previous qualifications are required, just a willingness to learn! Outdoor clothing and footwear are required.
The cost of the course includes all necessary materials and equipment.
