St Helens College Terms & Conditions

This document outlines the conditions on which we supply any of the goods or services listed on St Helens College's online store at sales.sthelens.ac.uk to you the buyer.

Please read these conditions carefully before ordering any goods or services. You should understand that by using our website/online store (including ordering any of our goods and services), you accept these conditions of sale and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree to any of the terms in these documents, please refrain from using the website/online store.

Course bookings
By booking on to any of our courses you agree to abide by our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to make amendments to the course content without notice.

Payment:
Payment should be made in full at the time of booking. We do not take provisional bookings online and cannot confirm your place on a course until we receive full payment.

We accept all major credit and debit cards online.

During attendance at your first class on a course you will be expected to complete an enrolment form for St Helens College. You will be guided through this process by the course tutor.

Courses that are purchased are transferable between individuals before official enrolment takes place at the start of the course. Once enrolment has been completed – courses are not transferable and cannot be shared.

Cancellations & Refunds Policy
If you cancel your booking you will forfeit any course fees associated with your booking.

If a person is booked onto a course and fails to attend for any reason, they will not be entitled to a refund or a rebooking of another course.

Cancellations by St Helens College
In the unlikely event of cancellation of a course by ourselves, we undertake to offer a suitable transfer to an alternative date or course, or a full refund (within 21 days) of any course fees. We cannot be held liable for any third-party costs incurred as a result of booking a course.

Gift Voucher
Refunds are not available on gift voucher purchases, nor can gift vouchers be exchanged for cash or other goods. Gift vouchers are not transferable.

Goods and Products
Goods and products are supplied as described. Where there is limited availability, this will be indicated on the website. Arrangements for collection will be specified, and, unless otherwise stated, delivery to you is not available.

Upon successful completion of an order with us you will receive confirmation of your order by email, to your nominated email address.

The prices listed on the website/online store for the goods or services will be as stipulated at the time when you place your order, except in cases of obvious error.

Colours Cookery School Additional Terms and Conditions

What's included in a Cookery Course booking:

Tuition, ingredients, utensils and equipment are provided for all courses.

What's not included:
Aprons, knives and the completed dish. There is an option to purchase the dish at the end of the cookery session for a nominal fee. You will need to bring a suitable container if you wish to take this home.

Health & Safety:
All participants should wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes, preferably leather. We cannot admit you to the cookery school without proper footwear. We recommend wearing sensible clothing - we are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing. Long hair must be tied back in the kitchen. All course participants will receive a short briefing on health and safety before commencing the course.

Special dietary requirements, food allergies & illness:
We are unable to tailor our course content for special dietary requirements.

Please inform us in advance of any allergies, disabilities, diabetes, pregnancy, epilepsy, learning difficulties etc.

Art School Additional Terms and Conditions

What's included in an Art School booking:
Tuition and equipment are provided for all courses.

Animal Management Additional Terms and Conditions

Health & Safety:
We recommend wearing sensible clothing - we are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing. It is recommended long hair be tied back. All course participants will receive a short briefing on health and safety before commencing the course.

Dog Grooming Additional Terms and Conditions

What's included in a Dog Grooming Course booking:
Tuition, Workbooks, Dogs and basic equipment are provided for use while on the course.

What's not included:
A dog grooming tunic must be worn for the advanced dog grooming course. Waterproof footwear may be preferred to be used during bathing sessions.

Health & Safety:
All participants should wear shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes. We cannot admit you to the grooming room without proper footwear. We recommend wearing sensible clothing - we are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing. Long hair must be tied back in the salon. All course participants will receive a briefing on health and safety before handling the dogs.

Payment:
Payment of a £200 non refundable deposit should be made at the time of booking. We do not take provisional bookings online and cannot confirm reservation of your place on a course until we receive the deposit. Once the deposit has been made it is not possible to transfer to another class. The balance of the course fees need to be paid in full when you start the course. If for any reason you cannot complete the course all fees are non refundable.

What's not included:
A dog grooming tunic must be worn for the advanced dog grooming course. One of our recommended suppliers is Mutneys Professional Pet Care. Waterproof footwear may be preferred to be used during bathing sessions.

Hair, Beauty & Spa Additional Terms and Conditions

What's included in my booking:
Tuition, and equipment are provided for all courses. For any beauty courses, you must bring with you your own make-up kit.

Distance Learning Additional Terms and Conditions

What's included in a distance learning course booking:
Unlimited access to online resources. Email and telephone tutor support. All learning materials and assessments.

What's not included:
Facilities to access online materials on the Internet. You must ensure that you have reliable Internet access to be able to access the materials online. St Helens College does not provide this access, and no refunds will be made in the event that you have technical problems accessing the materials.

Automotive Hub Additional Terms and Conditions

Once you have booked your place on your chosen course, our course tutors will email across information which must be filled in and returned as soon as possible. Your place on the course will not be confirmed until the Automotive Hub have received all the requested information.
